The exclusive Lanesborough hotel is the focal point of a new BBC factual entertainment show about some of the most opulent overnight stays in the UK. A single night in the 5* A list approved property can set you back almost £30,000, which is more than most Brits earn in a year.The hotel can be found Hyde Park in Knightsbridge, a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace, and is popular with the rich and famous looking for luxury in the capital.

The most expensive suite in the hotel is the The Royal Suite. It's around 4,845 sq ft in size, contains seven bedrooms and and two living rooms.The suite also includes a gym, a pool, a spa, steam showers and a study and access to the hotel’s chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce Phantom, which is worth £320,000.The spacious room also features integrated entertainment system that can be controlled via a tablet, which can also be used to control room conditions.
Previous clients of the Lanesborugh have included Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Johnny Depp, Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey and Pamela Anderson.The hotel also boasts three Michelin star chefs on hand to whip up guests meals whenever they require. Rooms ranging from £540 to £26,750 - beat 2,100 high-end hotels in more than 40 countries to be crowned the best luxury hotel in Europe.
