I'm a Celebrity camp, calling the allegations "categorically not true". The statement follows allegations from Autumnwatch's Chris Packham, who alleged that a crew member from the show told him about the use of bug sprays while filming. "Every day they would spray the entire jungle in that area with insecticide to kill any biting insects," Packham said to The Mirror.

Responding to the claims made by Packham, a spokesperson for ITV has said: "This is categorically not true, as a production we do not spray the jungle or castle area with insecticide, we have a strict environmental plan in place. . Get Me Out of Here will be returning to our screens later this year, with production returning to Australia for the first time since 2019. Due to travel restrictions caused by the pandemic, the past couple of seasons saw Ant and Dec swap out the Australian jungle for Wales' Gwrych Castle instead.
