Seeing Taylor Swift in action during her second UK Eras Tour show in Edinburgh was an unforgettable experience. Being so close to such a superstar performing at her peak was like a dream come true. However, as amazing as the concert was - from Taylor's captivating stage presence and incredible vocals, to the skilled dancers and overall production - there were three things I found challenging.
None of these issues were related to Taylor or her tour, but rather my own struggles. If you're going to see her live in the coming weeks, whether it's in Liverpool, Cardiff or London, here are three things I wish I'd known beforehand.
The main thing is wishing I'd gone to the toilet much earlier than I did - as for the other two points, they largely depend on what kind of tickets you've got. 1.
I wish I'd accepted my fate sooner For my first point, I wish I'd accepted my fate sooner.
To give you some context, my mates and I arrived at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium around 1.30pm on Saturday (June 8) - Taylor wasn't due to hit the stage until about 8pm, reports Bristol Live. So, we thought we were early birds, with our chances of getting a good view of Taylor being pretty high. We had General Admission Standing tickets, which meant we had to follow the 'pink route' around the stadium.
After having our tickets scanned and bags inspected, it quickly dawned on us that we hadn't arrived early enough. Already, there was a sea of Swifties queuing up, many comfortably seated on picnic blankets or deck chairs. Most of these fans had been there for hours.

Just a couple.” Grohl then implied that Swift doesn’t perform live, telling the crowd, “That’s because we actually play live.

Sabrina Carpenter has said that there is no tension between her and Taylor Swift, following her recent campaign with SKIMS.The speculation about the friendship between Carpenter and Swift came into question when the former partnered up with SKIMS – the clothing brand founded by Kim Kardashian – earlier this year.Previously, Carpenter had joined Swift as a support act for many of her huge ‘Eras’ tour dates, and openly shared her appreciation for the pop star on a number of occasions. However, some fans weren’t happy about the collaboration with Kardashian, given the reality star’s ongoing feud with the ‘Midnights’ singer.Swift and Kardashian’s relationship has been a topic of public scrutiny since 2016, when Kardashian defended her then-husband Kanye West’s mention of Swift in his track ‘Famous’, in which he claimed he “made that bitch famous”.She then insisted that Swift had given him permission to include her in the song and released footage of a phone call between Swift and West about the inclusion of similar lyrics to those that were released, which Swift has since said was recorded “illegally” and “edited”.Swift addressed the situation again in her December 2023 Time Person of the Year interview.

Taylor Swift is not set to star in the upcoming superhero movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, despite speculation from fans.According to an exclusive report by Entertainment Weekly, the singer of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ will not be making an appearance in the next instalment of the Marvel franchise.Despite IMAX posting an Instagram picture yesterday showing its two heroes holding hands and wearing friendship bracelets, a symbol of Swift fandom and more specifically ‘The Eras Tour’, it has been revealed that the singer won’t be involved in the film. The rumours began after fans noticed the film’s stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in attendance with Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game last October, along with the film’s director Shawn Levy. Some fans of MCU speculated that she might portray the comic book character Dazzler in the upcoming movie. It’s well known that Swift is friends with both Reynolds and Levy, with the former attending her recent show along with his wife Blake Lively, and Swift including their children’s names in her song ‘betty’, and with Levy starring in Swift’s short film All Too Well. However, it seems Swift’s friendships with Levy and Reynolds don’t necessarily suggest her involvement in the film, which will be next month. While neither Levy nor Reynolds addressed the rumour for some time, Levy told EW in April: “I regret that I was not quicker to shut it down the first time, so I’m going to default to my very true situation, which is as much as we love each other, the fear of death is so intense in me regarding Ryan and how he desperately wants to avoid talking about all of these proliferating rumours.”Back in May, Jackman, Levy and Reynolds spoke with Fandango about the rumour.
