A music festival and conference which began in Manchester last year will be returning once again to the city with venue takeovers, panel discussions and live events.
Beyond The Music, which is the brainchild of Oli Wilson, son of Factory Legends music impresario Tony Wilson, was created to debate the key issues facing the music industry as well as celebrating international and local talents.
The event was launched with a performance from New Order at SXSW festival, whilst the Beyond The Music festival in October featured appearances from Aitch, Rita Ora and The Untold Orchestra alongside takeovers by BBC Introducing Live and Hit & Run.

Featuring more than 200 performers, Beyond The Music 2024 will take place at Factory International’s Aviva Studios and across a number of grassroots music venues in the Northern Quarter, including Night and Day Café, Band On The Wall, Soup Kitchen, Gullivers, Matt & Phreds and The Castle Hotel.
Running from October 9 to 12, the event will once again see pioneering changemakers, music and content industry leaders, politicians and the world’s best new artists return for discussions, performances and events. Last year's event featured performances from the likes of Loose Articles, Tokky Horror and Freddy Gillmore.
Organisers behind the event said: “2024 continues to see the music and content industry beset with challenges that need urgent solutions: from an unsustainable economic model that is having a devastating effect on artists and grassroots venues; a blocked talent pipeline that has been exacerbated by a lack of music education; AI copyright threats that still have not been resolved;
