Firefighters raced to tackle a huge inferno at an Edinburgh play park this afternoon.
Scottish Fire Service crews rushed to Restalrig Park after receiving reports of a massive blaze at 1.30pm, Edinburgh Live reports.
Dramatic pictures from the scene show the children's play area completely engulfed by the fire, with a climbing frame barely visible through the flames.
Thick plumes of black smoke billowed into the sky and could be seen from miles around, with firefighters working for an hour to extinguish the inferno.
No injuries were reported and it is not yet known what caused the fire.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted to reports of a fire at 13.37 on March 4 at Restarlig Park.
"One appliance attended the scene with a jet and hose reel.
"The fire has now been extinguished."
