Jack Catterall takes on Josh Taylor who is defending his undisputed super-lightweight belts for the first time tonight.
Taylor beat Jose Carlos Ramirez last year to clinch all four belts and it may be his final fight at this weight level, the Scotsman expected to move up if he wins.
Local fighter Catterall, the WBO's mandatory challenger, will seek to prevent that happening in Glasgow, as he looks to maintain his stellar 26-0 record.
Chorley's Catterall said: "I have a lot of respect for Josh and his accomplishments," the former British champion says.
"But all that goes out of the window. This is what I'm in the sport for, to test myself against great fighters like Josh. I'm ready for these sorts of challenges.
"It's going to be a tough fight but I'm fully confident I can go up there and cause an upset. Everything has got to come together, and I know it will."
Taylor said: "It has been years, my whole life, dedicated to this. Collecting these belts. I have cleared out the division to acquire them but he is coming along, thinking he can get them in one fight.
"It makes me angry that he is getting a shortcut when I had to do it the hard way."
The fight was first scheduled for December but had to be pushed back due to an injury to Taylor. It all comes to a head on Saturday night and here is everything you need to know.
The fight takes place on Saturday February 26, 2022 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
The fight will be broadcast by Sky Sports and is available without pay-per-view access, unlike last weekend's bout between Amir Khan and Kell Brook.
A Sky Sports subscription is all that is required to have access to the fight, with coverage of the event set to begin at 7pm on Sky Sports Action and from 8pm on the Main
