How To Watch George Floyd’s Funeral Online & On TV

Almost two weeks after his death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer, George Floyd was laid to rest in hometown Houston, Texas. A sea of mourners gathered on the streets to pay their last respects, many others stood in long queues during Floyd's public memorial.

UPDATE (6/9/20 @ 3:15PM ET): Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum were among thousands of mourners who attended George Floyd’s funeral service on June 9, in George’s hometown of Houston, TX. The actors stood with the families of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and Eric Garner and wore white to the somber event. In practicing safety precautions during the COVID-19 outbreak, they also wore face masks.

As George Floyd protests continue to rage in the US, celebrities are taking a stand to speak up and contribute in their own little way. Selena Gomez is one such star.

Kanye West was among hundreds of others who protested in Chicago on June 4. The rapper kept a low profile as he joined a crowd of protesters for George Floyd and Black Lives Matter. A local Chicago morning show host, Kendra G, shot video of Kanye marching. He stayed silent while wearing a protective face mask and the hood of his sweatshirt pulled up.

Mourners filed into a sanctuary in Minneapolis on Thursday for the first in a series of memorials to George Floyd, whose death at the hands of police has sparked sporadic violence and turbulent protests around the world against racial injustice.

On Thursday afternoon, the family and friends of George Floyd will gather in Minneapolis to honor him with a private memorial service, which will not be open to public attendance but will be broadcast and streamed across several national networks. The service will take place at the Frank J.

There will be public memorial services held for George Floyd, whose death last week in the custody of Minneapolis police sparked nationwide protests, in the three cities where he lived.
