McDonald's have recently launched a highly-anticipated new McFlurry, with fast food and ice cream fans keen to give it a try.
The limited edition Lotus Biscoff McFlurry landed in restaurants across Scotland and the rest of the UK on June 21, costing £1.99 a pop. But there is a way to create the taste sensation at home, for a lot less per portion, according to Japan-101.
The team calculated how much it would cost you to create your very own version, with tasty ingredients for less available at Aldi. Making it even more tempting, the recipe is super symptoms with only three ingredients and a microwave required to complete the dish.
Altogether, the price comes out as 27p per serving. That’s £1.72p less than the original £1.99p price, making around seven servings for the price of one McFlurry.
A spokesperson from Japan-101 commented: “The Biscoff McFlurry is one of the most in-demand menu additions finally coming to the UK. Kids are bound to love it, but at £1.99 each, the cost can add up.
"By using Aldi ingredients, parents can make a version at home at just 27p per portion, serving seven for the price of one from McDonald’s.
"It’s a really simple recipe that requires only three ingredients and a microwave, and kids can get involved in creating their own toppings, too”.

Daniel D'Addario Chief TV Critic The current backlash against queer and trans people, led by a vivified cultural right, may have come as a surprise to younger people who assumed their rights and protections wouldn’t backslide. For this potential audience most of all, “Last Call,” a rigorous yet emotionally vivid documentary series on HBO, will come as a startling depiction of all-too-recent history, and a call to stand united in the face of a world’s worth of threats. Produced by, among others, recent Oscar nominee Howard Gertler (“All the Beauty and the Bloodshed”) and directed by Anthony Caronna, “Last Call” tells a set of stories that tend to begin at a piano bar. In the early 1990s, a cohort of gay men, often in culturally forced heterosexual marriages and living their true lives only after dark, frequented various drinking establishments in New York City; time and again, one of this set would turn up not merely dead but dismembered, in a sort of brutal testament to antigay feeling.
