It is safe to say Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is currently enduring one of the most difficult periods of his footballing career to date. Scoring just five goals all season so far, the forward has seen his side drop to seventh in the Premier League table.
With many United players now coming to the end of their current deals as the summer window approaches, there has also been talk surrounding the 24-year-old's career in the north west.
Having just started 10 Premier League games for his club all season, interim boss Ralf Rangnick opted to once again leave the forward on the substitutes bench as they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw with Leicester City at Old Trafford.

"Marcus, it’s no secret that he is not having his best time right now, it has to do with rhythm and confidence as well, yeah. Again, it’s our job to help him to get this confidence back and that is why I decided to bring him on,'' began the United boss in his post match media briefing on Saturday evening.
"In the end, he has to [lift] himself obviously, but the only thing we can do is speak to him regularly and tell him what we expect from him and what he should do. The rest has to be done by himself.
Rashford's current contract with the club expires on June 30, 2023. There is also a one-year option that can be triggered to extend it for another 12 months.
Finding the net just five times in all competitions so far, it is safe to say the England international is on track to record his lowest scoring season since breaking into the first team back in 2015/16.
