Andy Whyment probably didn't expect to get trolled by his own co-star when he updated fans on his life in lockdown.

Alan Halsall gave his Coronation Street co-star Andy Whyment a good laugh today, 20 May, by comparing a shirtless snap of him to the physique of the alien character E.T.The 37 year old, who was recently left spooked after his friends saw the face of Child's Play doll Chucky on his knee in a snap, targeted the soap star after Andy had shared a video of himself sunbathing outside on his own Instagram Stories.

Ever since the global pandemic saw production of Coronation Street grind to a halt back in March, the nation has had to cope with just half the number of weekly visits to Weatherfield. And no one is more desperate for the beloved soap to get back in business than one of its longer serving cast members, Andy Whyment, who celebrates 20 years playing the gormless but loveable Kirk Sutherland in December.
