House Of The Dragon star Paddy Considine has said that the new series isn’t a Game Of Thrones spin-off.Considine, who portrays King Viserys Targaryen in HBO’s upcoming fantasy drama, told NME in a new interview that he wants potential viewers to know that the prequel series House Of The Dragon “isn’t diluted in any way”. It’s very much an extension of the original hit series, set 200 years before the events of Game Of Thrones.
“And that was a revelation when I read the script, like, ‘Oh, this is Game Of Thrones, Considine said. “I keep calling it Game Of Thrones but maybe we should be calling it House Of The Dragon but to me it felt very much like – even though it’s set before – it felt very much like a continuation, if you like, and nothing was scrimped on it.“I thought, ‘Oh, this is actually the world of Game Of Thrones.
There’s no tricks. It’s what people are actually familiar with.
And I don’t think that’s a bad thing to honour the story in that way. It’s not trying to reinvent itself or sell itself any differently to the fans of Game Of Thrones and I think that’s for the better,” he said.NME has seen the first episode of the new series, which is available to watch in the UK from Monday (August 22) on Sky Atlantic and NOW, and remarked how the episode managed to convey both the intimacy of House Targaryen in an era when the grand family still reigns over Westeros as well as the epic intensity of the world outside it.“In a way we’re ok because we’ve inherited [the world of Game Of Thrones],” said Considine.

I should have did what Jarrette did and just turned off all my comments to begin with, but I just couldn't help myself and, by the end of the day, I went to sleep crying,» Iyanna revealed. She said that most of the comments involved people «making assumptions about people that you don't know.» One aspect of her time on the show that she's struggled with is people blaming her split on how her relationship was portrayed. «The annoying part is basing their opinions off an hour combined screen time from a 10-episode show and kind of using whatever that excuse is to explain a year and a half relationship,» she said. Iyanna noted that she has turned off her notifications, adding, «And I feel fine ever since.» Following the announcement, she has been leaning on several of her fellow female co-stars, including Natalie, Deepti Vempati, and Danielle Ruhl, who filed for divorce from Nick Thompson that same week after the pair also got together on the show. «We went out with the whole crew — you, me, Deepti, Danielle — and I was like, 'This is good,'» Iyanna said.
