The stars of House of the Dragon reunited for out for a special screening in Los Angeles this week!
Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Paddy Considine met up with co-stars Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Emily Carey, Eve Best, and Fabien Frankel, as well as showrunner Ryan Condal, and author George R. R. Martin for the event.
While there, Ryan did confirm that the second season of the hit HBO Max series would include new dragons – five, to be exact.

“You’re going to meet five new dragons,” Ryan shared at the FYC screening, via THR.
George then added that the dragons that will appear are better than those in Game of Thrones: “They had personality. They came alive. It came as great satisfaction to me.”
Ryan also added that filming on season two would start “very shortly”, for the expected 2024 premiere on HBO Max.
