‘House of the Dragon’: George R.R. Martin Answers Questions on Dragons and Misogyny in Westeros at Hall H Panel

Zack Sharf George R.R. Martin told The New York Times that he was kept “out of the loop” during the last four seasons of HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” a mistake that “House of the Dragon” co-showrunner Ryan Condal did not want to make during the development of the upcoming prequel series.

“This was the planets aligning,” says House of the Dragon co-creator Ryan J. Condal about teaming with Game of Thrones EP and director Miguel Sapochnik on the new George R.R. Martin HBO spinoff series. Condal and Sapochnik had previously developed a number of projects together before House of the Dragon.
