Manchester is about to welcome a huge new stadium to the live entertainment scene with the opening of Co-Op Live in 2024. And a raft of big name music stars have already confirmed to play there including Olivia Rodrigo, The Jonas Brothers and Manchester's very own Take That who will play four huge concerts there in May 2024.
With tickets going on sale this week for the Take That shows, many music fans will be looking at places to stay near the Co-Op Live stadium to make a night of it here in Manchester.
For those unfamiliar with the location of Co-Op Live, it sits right next to Manchester City's Etihad Stadium which is to the East of the city centre. It's also right next to the Etihad Campus Tram stop, which is on the Ashton-Eccles line.

For those wanting to remain close to the city centre, as well as within walking distance of the stadium, the areas around Ancoats and Piccadilly will be the top choices for hotel accommodation. And the good news for travellers is that in recent years there has been an explosion of new hotels all around this area, thanks to the thriving events and football scene in Manchester.
Ancoats is also among Manchester's most happening food and drink destinations, with a wealth of acclaimed restaurants and bars in the area around Cutting Room Square and streets feeding off it.
