St Ann’s Hospice has been given the go-ahead to build a £20m new facility on land next to its Heald Green site.
The proposals will see the current hospice demolished to make way for 40 new homes that will part-fund the project.
The hospice, celebrating its 50th anniversary year, was built as an extension to the Victorian era St Ann’s Hospital, which became part of Cheadle Royal in 1887.
