Australian soap stars Sophie Dillman and Patrick O’Connor recently left Home and Away viewers gutted after they announced they were leaving the soap. The on-screen couple - who are also in a relationship in real life - revealed they were planning on moving to London once they wrapped up filming. In case you didn’t know, the pair actually go way back, and met over eight years ago when they studied acting together in Queensland.
Upon finishing their degrees, the both landed roles on the iconic soap - albeit at different times, with Sophie joining the cast first. While it took them a little longer to get together, Sophie and Patrick shared their relationship status back in 2019, much to fans' delight. And in 2020, they updated the world again on their love story, sharing news that they’d moved in together and had adopted a puppy.

After starring on the show for five years, the couple dropped the bombshell that they were calling it quits back in February. According to Sophie, leaving the show and their move was a “pretty big decision,” but the pair remain firm in their choice, and are reportedly very excited about what the next part of their lives together will bring. “I guess after we kind of (decided to leave after) just over five years, we’re kind of entering a new stage, like dirty thirties,” she told The Morning Show.
