Holly Willoughby returned to social media on Monday morning (May 15) ahead of her planned appearance on This Morning. ITV confirmed that she and Phillip Schofield will kick off the week on the daytime show despite the pair reportedly being in crisis behind the scenes.
The presenting duo, who have fronted the show together for 14 years, are reportedly 'barely speaking' behind the scenes. It was claimed that Phillip's pre-planned absence from the programme last month around his brother’s sex abuse trial contributed to a "cooling" of his friendship with Holly.
But last week, the 61-year-old issued an unexpected statement in which he defended his relationship with Holly, 42, who he continued to claim is his 'rock'.

He told The Sun: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her." Phillip added: "The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us."
Holly has, however, remained tight-lipped but confirmed her return to This Morning with her traditional pre-show Instagram post. The mum-of-three takes to the social media platform before every show with a snap of herself posing backstage. As well as teasing what's coming up on the show, Holly gives fans her outfit details and brands it 'HW Style'.
