HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has issued a money-saving message for parents ahead of the Easter holidays.
The government department is urging eligible families to sign up for Tax-Free Childcare which could earn them up to £2,000 in savings per child each year. Some parents could even get up to £4,000 if their child is disabled.
The scheme is available for children aged 11 or under (16 and under if the child has a disability) and helps pay for 'approved' childcare. Parents can get up to £500, or £1,000 if a child is a disabled, every three months with HMRC statins every £8 paid into an account will receive a top-up of £2 from the government.

Myrtle Lloyd, HMRC’s Director General for Customer Services, said: "Springtime is a good opportunity to take a fresh look at family finances. A quick check online and you can find out how Tax-Free Childcare can help cut the cost of your childcare bills.
"Every bit of financial support helps – I would urge families to ’hop to it’ and search ‘Tax-Free Childcare’ on GOV.UK to find out how you could be better off and open your account today."
Parents can open an account for Tax-Free Childcare online. The account can be used to help pay for a child's nursery, childminder, breakfast, or after-school club or holiday activity club.
Parents can also receive help paying for 15 or 30 hours of free childcare and pay for any specialist equipment required for a disabled child when they're attending childcare.
Once the account has been opened, money can be deposited immediately.
According to the government, a person's eligibility for Tax-Free Childcare will depend on their employment status,
