HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has released the latest figures for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) which shows there were 540,000 employers with 1.9 million staff on furlough on June 30, 2021. This was a decrease of 590,000 from May 31 where there were 2.4 million workers on furlough.
