High School Musical Reunion From The Disney Family Singalong

The cast of High School Musical reunited for a special Disney singalong last weekend.

When Vanessa Hudgens, 31, Ashley Tisdale, 34, Corbin Bleu, 31, and more High School Musical stars got together online to perform on ABC’s The Disney Family Singalong, Zac Efron, 32, was noticeably absent.

Blame it on the WiFi. Apparently, that's what should be saying to all the fans who were that he didn’t participate in the singing portion of the cast’s virtual reunion on the Disney Family Singalong special that aired last week.In case you missed it, , , Corbin Bleu, and the rest of the East High Wildcats virtually reunited for the special and sang “We’re All in This Together.” Efron only appeared separately to introduce the song.

As if times rights now aren't hard enough, High School Musical fans were further distressed by events that happened earlier this week—and yes, I'm talking about Zac Efron not signing during the High School Musical reunion.

Zac Efron didn’t sing during the much anticipated High School Musical segment on Thursday night’s Disney Family Singalong, with host Ryan Seacrest blaming “patchy Wi-Fi” for the actor’s brief involvement.

A few fans on Twitter weren't feeling so happy after Zac Efron's appearance in the mini reunion for the recent .Here's what went down: On April 16, ABC hosted a singalong of a bunch of performed by the likes of , , and Queen herself. But for some reason, Efron did not take part in the highly-anticipated performance of "We're All in This Together" by the original High School Musical cast.

Fans were absolutely thrilled when Zac Efron was confirmed to virtually reunite with the rest of the High School Musical cast during The Disney Family Singalong on April 16. However, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment when the special aired…because Zac simply introduced the HSM performance, and didn’t sing during it himself.

When director/choreographer Kenny Ortega got the call to help organize a grand finale for The Disney Family Singalong, he didn’t hesitate to say yes.

As much of the country remains under quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic, the original High School Musical cast reunited via Zoom tonight to perform for Disney's Family Singalong. Though series stars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, and Corbin Bleu were very much involved in the "We're All in This Together" performance, Zac Efron was missing from the musical number.

So, last night the cast of High School Musical got together and performed 'We're All In This Together' as part of the Disney Family Singalong special. Like, we're talking Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman, and yes, even Zac Efron. Sounds too good to be true, right? Cool, because it is.

It was supposed to be a beautiful trip down the memory lane for Disney fans. However, Zac Efron did not seem to be on the same page. The actor joined his fellow cast members Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel for a sweet High School Musical reunion. The actors reunited digitally for ABC's The Disney Family Singalong on Thursday night. The video saw almost all the cast recreate the famous We're All In This Together song. 

The High School Musical cast and other Disney faces along with renowned singers like Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Little Big Town, Josh Groban and others featured on the Disney Family Singalong that premiered on ABC, this Thursday. It was a much-needed musical break for the viewers amidst the Coronavirus crisis. Hosted by American Idol‘s Ryan Seacrest, the show got the stars to have a virtual reunion and take the fans on a nostalgic ride as they performed on some classic Disney hits.

Wildcats, everywhere: We have some epic news! The cast of High School Musical are gearing up for an exciting reunion during ABC's The Disney Family Singalong. The news was confirmed by HSM franchise director Kenny Ortega, who took to Instagram to announce that the East High gang, which featured Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman, will be getting their heads in the game once again.
