High School Musical Cast Reunite and Sing 'We're All in This Together'

Blame it on the WiFi. Apparently, that's what should be saying to all the fans who were that he didn’t participate in the singing portion of the cast’s virtual reunion on the Disney Family Singalong special that aired last week.In case you missed it, , , Corbin Bleu, and the rest of the East High Wildcats virtually reunited for the special and sang “We’re All in This Together.” Efron only appeared separately to introduce the song.

As if times rights now aren't hard enough, High School Musical fans were further distressed by events that happened earlier this week—and yes, I'm talking about Zac Efron not signing during the High School Musical reunion.

ABC's Disney Family Singalong pulled on all of our nostalgic heartstrings on Thursday (April 16), but a serious throwback came in the form of an epic High School Musical reunion, in which Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman and director Kenny Ortega came together (virtually) to perform "We're All in This Together."This isn't the first time the group came together since the final installment of the HSM franchises hit theaters in 2008.

A few fans on Twitter weren't feeling so happy after Zac Efron's appearance in the mini reunion for the recent .Here's what went down: On April 16, ABC hosted a singalong of a bunch of performed by the likes of , , and Queen herself. But for some reason, Efron did not take part in the highly-anticipated performance of "We're All in This Together" by the original High School Musical cast.

Fans were absolutely thrilled when Zac Efron was confirmed to virtually reunite with the rest of the High School Musical cast during The Disney Family Singalong on April 16. However, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment when the special aired…because Zac simply introduced the HSM performance, and didn’t sing during it himself.

As much of the country remains under quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic, the original High School Musical cast reunited via Zoom tonight to perform for Disney's Family Singalong. Though series stars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, and Corbin Bleu were very much involved in the "We're All in This Together" performance, Zac Efron was missing from the musical number.

The High School Musical cast and other Disney faces along with renowned singers like Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Little Big Town, Josh Groban and others featured on the Disney Family Singalong that premiered on ABC, this Thursday. It was a much-needed musical break for the viewers amidst the Coronavirus crisis. Hosted by American Idol‘s Ryan Seacrest, the show got the stars to have a virtual reunion and take the fans on a nostalgic ride as they performed on some classic Disney hits.

Just hours before ABC airs its jam-packed Disney Family Singalong on Thursday (April 16), the network dropped a sneak peek of one of the night's biggest performances.

Calling all Wildcats! There's about to be a reunion of epic proportion. Days after much of the cast of the beloved High School Musical franchise, along with director Kenny Ortega, got together for a Zoom chat that had the whole world talking, everyone--and we do mean everyone--is proving that they're still all in this together as they band together for a special performance during ABC's The Disney Family Singalong, airing Thursday, April 16.

In happy news that is much needed in this climate - we can all rejoice - because the cast of High School Musical are reuniting to perform for us all!  And for those at home asking, Zac Efron is pretty keen to join, too.
