A man has been rescued from a river after falling from a bridge in Tameside this morning.
Police were called out to concerns for the welfare of a man on Gibraltar Lane, in Haughton Green, at around 5.30am on Tuesday (June 8).
As they arrived at the scene, officers discovered that a man had fallen into the River Tame.
Police entered the water and were able to rescue the man by moving him to the river bank with a rope.
