Wheel of Fortune will be looking a little different when the upcoming Teacher’s Week airs in October for the show’s 40th season.
Vanna White, longtime co-host and letter turner on the popular game show, will be temporarily replaced, according to TVLine, but not for the reason you think.

Lately, Vanna has been in the news due to her ongoing discussions about her contract, as her co-host, Pat Sajak is retiring after the new season.
Contract negotiations are not why Vanna will be absent, but COVID is. The outlet shared that she contracted the virus while filming the special week back in July.
In her place, Wheel of Fortune called on California-based “Teacher of the Year” recipient Bridgette Donald-Blue to take her place for the week’s worth of episodes.
