This story contains SPOILERS about the new “Scream” film. Like any great “Scream” movie, the fifth film in the franchise is movie-literate and wildly self-aware.

The new film has fun with toxic fandom and the idea of a “requel,” or a movie that remakes the original film while pairing new characters with legacy, fan favorites — just like this film does and proudly wears on its sleeve.

But it also makes a sly reference to a real-life director whose own movie has become the poster child for attacks from toxic fans and the trend of requels: Rian Johnson, or as “Scream” refers to him, “The ‘Knives Out’ Guy.” James Vanderbilt, one of the film’s co-writers along with Guy Busick and a producer on the film for his Project X Entertainment banner, explained to TheWrap why name-dropping Johnson in one of the film’s key scenes was “kind of too perfect.” Fans of the “Scream” sequels know that there are a series of fake movies within the movies called the “Stab” franchise.

Lauren Goodger speaks out on co-parenting with ex Charles Drury amid pregnancy: ‘Respect me and my babies’
Lauren Goodger says she and ex-boyfriend Charles Drury are ‘working to be good parents’ as she expects their second child. The former Towie star announced earlier that she is pregnant with her second child. It came just days after Charles admitted to sleeping with another woman while he and Lauren were on a short break. The estranged couple are already parents to baby daughter Larose, who they welcomed in July. Addressing the trolling she’s received since sharing the baby news on Monday, the reality star wrote in her Instagram stories: ‘I just want to say thank you for the DM’s and the support today!… ‘Please just respect me and my babies. ‘Me and Charlie are working to be good parents my girls are my world and I can’t wait for Larose to meet her baby sister ! I want to keep this positive and happy and stop reading BS!’ She added: ‘Thank you guys I’m overwhelmed and can’t wait to be a mummy of 2 gorgeous girls.’ Lauren, 35, revealed her pregnancy to OK! Magazine, explaining that she hadn’t had a period for a few weeks and that the pain while breastfeeding became ‘unbearable’. ‘I thought, “I bet you I’m pregnant!” I did a test and it said positive,’ she said. ‘We weren’t very careful and Charlie was really pleased, but being honest I was really in two minds about it.’ However, Charles prompted her to go ahead with the pregnancy. ‘I’m so glad I did,’ she enthused. Charles, 24, announced he had split from Lauren, 35, in November just four months after they welcomed their daughter Larose. It was during this time that he is said to have enjoyed a brief romance with Amy Gilbert, who he reportedly met for sex at his East London home and even spent a whole weekend with. Sharing her side of the story, Amy claimed Charles reached

McDonald's is bringing the Chicken Big Mac to its UK menu for first time ever
McDonald's news may just make up for it.The Chicken Big Mac features two 100% chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles and the deliciously world-famous Big Mac sauce between a three-layered bun.And food fans haven't got long to wait for it, as it will be hitting UK menus on February 2 in 1,300 restaurants. You'll have to be quick though - as fans only have until March 15 to order it from the fast food giant.Foodies will also have to fork out a little more for the chicken version, as it's 50p more expensive than a classic Big Mac, which costs £3.59. However, prices do vary between branches. It's £4.09 for the sandwich, or £5.59 for a medium meal with chips and a drink - you can go large for £5.99.The chicken version has more calories with 544kcal, compared to a Big Mac which is 508.The Chicken Big Mac is already available on the menu in Australia - however this is the first time it’s been sold in the UK.Meanwhile, the classic Big Mac is a firm favourite amongst customers, having been on the menu in the UK since 1974.Along with the addition of the Chicken Big Mac, McDonalds has also announced the return of some fan favourites including the Double Big Mac, Mozzarella Dippers, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, Galaxy Salted Caramel McFlurry and the return of the Chicken Legend. The news comes after some Maccies fans were devastated yesterday (Monday 25) after the chain confirmed that it is axing the breakfast bagel and wrap off its morning menu for good. The chain did that there will be new additions this year, although they didn't say what they could be.Get all the biggest Lifestyle news straight to your inbox.
