Marta Balaga Waterside Studios has found its first project in the miniseries “The Last Wish of Sasha Cade.” Created by Jacqueline Pepall, currently at work on “Horrible Histories” for the BBC, it’s based on a novel by Cheyanne Young. Headed by Jeff Norton, who will produce, Waterside Studios is a new creative content venture from Canada’s Corus Entertainment and part of the Nelvana Studios group. The company was launched following an overall deal with Norton’s IP company Dominion of Drama. The bittersweet story – pitched at MIA Market and billed as “All the Bright Places” meets “The Fault in Our Stars” – sees a high school girl trying to come to terms with her best friend’s passing of cancer. But Sasha keeps on revealing her secrets, as Rocki starts to receive letters written before she died. Sasha, who was adopted, had a brother she never knew. Now, she is asking her friend to meet him.

But after the game ran longer than anticipated, the episode was scrapped from Wednesday’s primetime lineup altogether.Andrew Lloyd Webber night will now air in the show’s usual 8 p.m.

Amber Heard and her new legal team have filed an appellate brief listing 16 grounds for appeal, Fox News Digital can confirm. A jury awarded her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, $10.3 million in damages after he won their defamation trial that dominated the headlines over the summer. Dan Auerbach‘s band The Arcs have announced their first album in eight years, ‘Electrophonic Chronic’.The Black Keys frontman’s side project released their debut studio record, ‘Yours, Dreamily’, back in 2015. Its 12-track follow-up is due to arrive on January 27, 2023 via Auerbach’s own label Easy Eye Sound (pre-order here).Today (October 13), The Arcs have shared the first preview of the forthcoming project in the form of ‘Keep On Dreamin”, which arrives with an animated official video by Robert “Roboshobo” Schober.‘Electrophonic Chronic’ will also include the cuts ‘Heaven Is A Place’, ‘A Man Will Do Wrong’, ‘Backstage Mess’ and ‘Love Doesn’t Live Here Anymore’.The Arcs’ original line-up – completed by Leon Michels, Nick Movshon, Homer Steinweiss, and the late Richard Swift (who died in 2018, aged 41) – contributed to the new album, per a press release.It was recorded between Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville, Electric Lady in Manhattan, and Michels’ Diamond Mine in Queens, New York.
