EXCLUSIVE: Gordon Ramsay‘s Hell’s Kitchen is moving home.
The Fox hit, which turns 20 next year, has been handed a renewal for seasons 23 and 24 and a rejig with a move to a fresh studio in Connecticut.
The new seasons will be filmed in the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, where one of Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurants opened last year. The move is a landmark as it is the first time a new set has been custom-built on property. The series has tended to be shot in L.A. although Seasons 19 and 20 were made out of Vegas.
In Hell’s Kitchen, which was Fox favorite Ramsay’s first show for the network in 2005 and will cross the 350-episode mark after these seasons, aspiring chefs from across the restaurant industry are put through an intense culinary academy to prove to Ramsay they have the talent and tenacity to come out on top. Only those who can take the searing heat will continue to compete each week, until one prevails as the winner. At stake is a life-changing grand prize, including claiming a chef position at one of Ramsay’s own renowned restaurants across the country.
