Helen Skelton has been missing from the latest episode of BBC One's Countryfile, which comes just days after she announced she and estranged husband Richie Myler had split up. The former couple had been married for eight years when they decided to call it quits, and share three children together. Former Blue Peter presenter Helen wasn’t seen on Sunday's episode of Countryfile, Leeds Live reports. The 38 year old presenter revealed her Leeds rugby player husband, 31, had moved out of the family home in a recent Instagram story, and has also been seen without her wedding ring in the days since.
Helen told her followers they would be focusing their efforts on co-parenting sons Ernie, six, Louis, four, and newborn daughter Elsie, four months, as they come to terms with the reality of their new lives. It is unknown whether her absence was anything to do with the news of their split. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter .
Helen has been absent from her regular role on the agricultural TV favourite. And according to reports, has even "fled" abroad to take a break from reality. It comes as Leeds Rhinos player Richie reportedly embarked on his own holiday abroad with his mystery "new girlfriend" following the social media announcement.
“He said he was going on holiday," a source told The Sun. "It’s thought he’s taken his new missus so they can be out of the public eye." “Helen’s holding it together well, which is admirable given she was blindsided by his new relationship," the source continued. They went on to claim that mutual friends of the pair believe Richie has treated his wife "appallingly".
