Blumhouse, Morgan Creek, Universal and Peacock this week had an early and not cost insignificant shut down for the holiday on The Exorcist, the David Gordon Green-directed continuation of The Exorcist. Sources cited an unspecified health issue involving Leslie Odom Jr., who stars alongside Ellen Burstyn, reprising her role as Chris MacNeil from the original 1973 movie.
They hope to have him back along with the rest of the cast in January,.

People were caught up in a turbulent time of change, and it didn’t always work out for some. As witnessed in the resulting film and years of meticulous research, Babylon is a sight to behold, a decadent, free wheeling, at times even poignant look at a series of dreamers, stars, fringe players, and all who wanted a piece of a world that felt out of control, uninhibited, and full of promise – and downfall.
When Guillermo del Toro takes his shot at an animation classic, he doesn’t mess around. He and co-director Mark Gustafson took the Carlo Collodi creation Pinocchio but made a version unrecognizable compared to the 1940 Disney classic. In the stop-motion animated film, Geppetto, the wood-carved boy and the cricket are there, but in a musical adventure that takes the tale in a direction all its own.
CNN plans to move its Los Angeles bureau from an office tower in Hollywood to Warner Bros. Discovery office space in Burbank.
