Jenna Ortega’s wardrobe malfunction at Scream VI premiere: ‘Count your days’

Jenna Ortega looked stunning at the red carpet of the highly anticipated film ‘Scream VI.’ The Hollywood star posed for the cameras at the event at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City on Monday night, and took a moment to sign some autographs with a blue Sharpie. The 20-year-old actress wore a Jean Paul Gaultier Haute black and ensemble, paired with black heels and minimal jewelry by Tiffany & Co. She completed the look with a soft makeup look and a bold red lip.Jenna’s outfit for the night was impeccable, however the blue Sharpie made an appearance, as the blue ink apparently made contact and stained the white part of the dress.

Gender-Balanced Hiring in Film Plateaued in 2022, per New Report From ReFrame

Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor A new report from ReFrame shows that gender-balanced hiring for women in film plateaued in 2022. “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” “The Woman King,” “Women Talking” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” are among the films that earned ReFrame‘s “stamp” of a gender-balanced production. Only 29 of the 100 most popular films of last year meet ReFrame’s stamp criteria, which require that at least 50% of key roles on a film set be filled by women or nonbinary/gender non-conforming people. Key roles include writer, director, producer, lead, co-leads and department heads (cinematographer, production designer, casting director, costume designer, editor, composer, music supervisor, VFX supervisor). Additional points are awarded to productions that hire women of color in key positions, and to those with overall gender parity in their crews.

Will Hollywood Hit Cannes? ‘Indiana Jones 5,’ ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Weigh Festival Debuts

Cannes Film Festival chief Thierry Frémaux has barely gotten over his jet lag after a whirlwind trip to Los Angeles this month, but he’s already planning a return visit as he attempts to pull together one of the most formidable lineups in the 76-year history of the event. He’s made it clear to studio executives that he would love to highlight both their blockbusters and their awards contenders, and though formal offers have not been made or accepted, this year’s Cannes has the potential to match or even surpass the 2022 edition — which played host to Tom Cruise and “Top Gun: Maverick” and Austin Butler and Tom Hanks with “Elvis” — in movie star moments.

Woody Harrelson Slams COVID Set Protocols as ‘Nonsense,’ Urges Hollywood to ‘Stop’ Forcing ‘Vaccination’: That’s ‘Not a Free Country’

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Woody Harrelson railed against COVID protocols on film sets during a new interview with The New York Times. The actor is making the press rounds in support of his new movie “Champions,” an indie sports dramedy from director Bobby Farrelly that’s backed by Focus Features. Harrelson expressed uncertainty about the future of indie movies given “all the COVID protocols” in place, calling such protocols “absurd.” “What’s absurd about the Covid protocols?” The New York Times asked Harrelson. “The fact that they’re still going on!” the actor responded. “I don’t think that anybody should have the right to demand that you’re forced to do the testing, forced to wear the mask and forced to get vaccinated three years on. I’m just like, let’s be done with this nonsense. It’s not fair to the crews. I don’t have to wear the mask. Why should they? Why should they have to be vaccinated? How’s that not up to the individual? I shouldn’t be talking about this [expletive].”

Liam Neeson on Playing Iconic Detective Philip Marlowe in New Neil Jordan Film

Michaela Zee editor Liam Neeson celebrated his 100th film “Marlowe” during a special screening Wednesday night at New York City’s Crosby Street Hotel. “How did I get so lucky? Do you ever get moments like that? Where you think, if I was 15 years of age in a chemistry class or a math lesson in school, and someone showed you a video of where you are now — you’d say, ‘I don’t believe it,’” Neeson told Variety. “Especially working with Jessica Lange, Alan Cumming, Diane Kruger. It’s just a great cast.” Based on John Banville’s novel “The Black-Eyed Blonde,” the neo-noir crime thriller follows Raymond Chandler’s iconic detective Philip Marlowe (Neeson), who is hired to find heiress Clare Cavendish’s (Diane Kruger) missing former lover.
