HBO Max has given a green light to The Uninhabitable Earth, a climate change anthology series inspired by David Wallace-Wells’ global best-selling book and New York Magazine article of the same name, from Oscar- and Emmy-winning writer Adam McKay and his Hyperobject Industries, wiip and Animal Kingdom. Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh has inked a three-year overall with HBO and HBO Max. Under the deal, Soderbergh will develop content for both platforms which shall be exclusive in all forms of television and a first-look for films.
