The first ever winter edition of Love Island may have only just finished but we don’t have too long to wait for the next series as the show returns to it’s Mallorcan roots for the traditional summer edition in just a few months.
While the start date hasn’t been confirmed by ITV, the summer series usually kicks off in the first week of June and, if new reports are true, show bosses have already snapped up the first Islander entering the villa.

Love Island is reportedly aiming to return to screens this summer despite coronavirus forcing many countries into lockdown.The show's bosses are thought to be making "final decisions" closer to the time, but it is believed they've decided to film the series to air a month later than usual, in July.The pandemic has already halted the filming of many loved TV shows including Coronation Street and Emmerdale as well as daytime programmes like Lorraine and Loose Women.
