Harry opens up on his and Meghan's secret visit with Queen: 'It was great to see her'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are heading across the pond with their kids. The couple will attend Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, a spokesperson for the pair confirmed to ET.What's more is they will be bringing their children, Archie and Lilibet, with them to the celebrations, marking the first time their daughter will meet the monarch since being born in Santa Barbara, California, last June. According to a source close to the royal family, the queen is delighted she will be meeting her great-granddaughter for the first time and excited to be able to spend time with Archie and Lili. ET understands Harry’s relatives are also looking forward to meeting the couple's infant daughter and seeing Archie, who is now a 3-year-old toddler. While ET has learned that it was the sovereign herself who invited Harry and Meghan to attend her celebrations, they will not be permitted to partake in the royal family's traditional balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace during the annual Trooping the Colour event.

Another reunion in the works. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to attend Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee, but the festivities will look a bit different than they have in the past.

Prince Harry is set to give another interview with US news broadcaster The Today Show tomorrow, April 20, following his secret meeting with The Queen in Windsor Castle.The Duke of Sussex, 37, is currently in The Hague, the Netherlands, for the Invictus Games, of which he is the founder. It was reported that ahead of touching down in the European country with his wife Meghan Markle, the Royals made a flying visit to see family in the UK first.The meeting marked the first time Harry and Meghan were both in the UK since their controversial exit from their roles as senior members of the Royal family.

Prince Harry is giving a little insight into one of his first face-to-face meetings with Queen Elizabeth II since leaving the U.K. Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle visited the Queen at Windsor Castle for the first time as a couple since moving to the U.S.They were on their way to the Netherlands for the 2022 Invictus Games.  "She had plenty of messages for Team UK, which I have already passed on to most of them," Prince Harry told the BBC regarding the meeting.

Ahead of their appearance at the Invictus Games over the weekend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

After his recent reunion with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry reflected on the “great” stop that was made prior to his appearance at the Invictus Games with Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were torn when it came to naming their son, Archie.  While attending a reading session for children during the royal couple’s trip to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, Markle shared with a fellow parent who brought her son, Harrison, to the event.  Sherry McBain, a nursing officer in the RAF and a competing member in the Invictus Games, said that her wife, Mandy, discussed with Markle how both their sons share the name "Harrison." Prince Harry and Meghan Markle almost named their, Archie, a different name. (Getty) "[Meghan] was like 'Harrison, that's Archie's middle name', and Mandy was like 'Yeah, I know,'" McBain told the PA news agency.

Meghan Markle, 40, was spotted comforting her husband Prince Harry as they tenderly held hands during the beginning of the Invictus Games, which followed a secret visit to see the Queen at Windsor Castle. The couple made a brief stopover in the UK on their way to the Netherlands for the international sporting event, which supports military personnel and servicemen and women who have fought.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s choice to not bring their children with them on their trip to the UK would have been a source of “great heartache” for the Queen, an expert has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex briefly visited Windsor on Thursday 14 April to catch-up with Her Majesty and Prince Charles before heading to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
