Manchester United captain and England star Harry Maguire was sent threats that bombs would be detonated at his home if he did not leave the club. Maguire lives in Wilmslow, Cheshire, with fiancee Fern Hawkins and daughters, Lillie Saint, 3, and Piper Rose, who is 1 next month.
A search of his luxury home with a sniffer dog was carried out but nothing suspicious was found. An investigation is now underway to find the person behind the threat, who is thought to have been included in the email, The Mirror reports.
The threat came just hours after United's 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on Tuesday (April 19) at Anfield. Fern is reported to have been particularly distressed and was comforted by family in Sheffield after the incident.

Maguire, 29, has since told teammates he has zero intention of leaving Old Trafford. He will lead the Reds against Arsenal in tomorrow's lunchtime kick-off in North London.
Manager Ralf Rangnick said the club would do all they could to support their captain during this time. He said: “This is another bad sign of the crazy world we’re living in. Obviously I feel very sorry for Harry that he had that terrible experience, but he knows that we’re all behind him - the club, the players, his team-mates.”
On Thursday a spokesman for the footballer said: “In the last 24 hours, Harry has received a serious threat to his family home. He has reported this to the police who are now looking into the matter. The safety of his family is obviously Harry’s number one priority.”
