Howell Binkley was a lighting designer who won Tony Awards for his work on “Jersey Boys” and “Hamilton.”Binkley’s Broadway debut as a lighting designer came in 1993 with “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” and he won an Olivier Award and was nominated for a Tony Award for his work. It was the first of nine Tony nominations he’d receive, including for “In the Heights” (2008), “West Side Story” (2009), and “Come From Away” (2017).
