Si King has received an overwhelming expression of love and support from fans after he posted what they dubbed the 'saddest picture' following the passing of his partner in crime, Dave Myers.
The tragic news of the death of the Hairy Bikers star and TV master chef, who bravely battled cancer, came in February of this year. He was 66-years-old. Si broke the dreadful news on social media with a gut-wrenching message.
Si revealed that Dave's wife Liliana Orzac, his family, and their close friend David, were present by his bedside when he died on February 28. It was decided following Dave's death that Hairy Bikers Go West, their latest cookery series, would continue to be broadcast in tribute to him.
The last episode of the series drew lots of tears from viewers. Their final joint cookbook has also been published since then. In a recent Instagram post, Si uploaded a picture of himself relishing their work amid nature while perched on a wooden chair next to a blazing fire.
He captioned the image, reports Manchester Evening News: "Thrilled to announce our delicious Hairy Biker Triple Hop beer that we lovingly made with @theakstonbrewery is coming to a shelf near you – first stop Waitrose! Go grab a bottle, sit down, relax and enjoy! Si x."
But the sight of Si King sitting alone next to an empty chair has left fans deeply moved. One person commented: "Possibly the saddest picture I've seen in years of you sat with a bottle and an empty chair." Another responded: "My thoughts exactly, my eyes are full of tears, a beautiful photo." A third agreed: "Totally agree, tears in my eyes. Dave was a legend. So sorry, Si."
