Hundreds of bikers took to the streets for a ride out in memory of 66-year-old TV chef Dave Myers on Sunday.
The Hairy Bikers star, known for his partnership with fellow chef Si King, passed away following a battle with cancer in February. On Sunday morning, hundreds of bikers took part in a memorial motorcycle ride, organised by Biker Escorts East Yorkshire, which Si said his friend 'would have loved'.
In a message on social media, he thanked everyone taking part in the ride, which started at Beverley Market Place in Yorkshire before moving through various north Yorkshire towns including Scagglethorpe and Pickering and ending at Scarborough beach.

On the Hairy Bikers Instagram account, alongside a photo of the motorcyclists stationed at the initial meeting point, Si wrote: “I hope the ride out goes well for you all. Many many thanks for remembering Dave in this way. He would have loved it. Dave’s family, friends and I are really touched. Love to you all, be safe.”
A Facebook page for the event said it was expecting possibly up to 3,000 bikes to take part due to the interest expressed on the event page - but organisers claimed that around 6,000 people showed up for the event.
Photos show hundreds of bikers taking part in the ride out, which was also put on to raise funds for cancer charities - including many wearing t-shirts with photos of Dave on.
