According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marcus Scribner will hop over to the Freeform spinoff from black-ish, starring as Zoey’s younger brother, Andre Johnson Jr. aka Junior.
Marcus has previously appeared on the show in a guest star capacity, but for season five, he will be joining the show as a series regular.
In addition, Black-ish showrunner Courtney Lilly will also move to the spinoff, alongside Zakiyyah Alexander, and they will serve as co-showrunners for the coming season.
The renewal news comes just a few weeks after grown-ish wraps up its fourth season.
The current season is focusing on Zoey and her pals as they gear up to graduate from college.
Trevor Jackson, Luka Sabbat, Francia Raisa, Diggy Simmons, Emily Arlook and Chloe Bailey also star in the series.
Black-ish just recently aired it’s final season on ABC.
