Yeah, baby, yeah!Mike Myers is cluing fans in on a potential, long-awaited sequel to the beloved spy spoof franchise. However, the comedian maintained during a recent interview that he is not at liberty to divulge any top-secret Hollywood intel. “I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project, should it exist or not exist,” he told listeners during a recent interview on SiriusXM, according to The Independent.
The former “Saturday Night Live” cast member added that he “would love to” do a follow-up on the tale of the “International Man of Mystery” — a swinging secret agent, time-traveling from the 1960s, now spit 20 more years into the future since his third installment. Myers refused to relent to his goading host, who pushed for a confirmation.
“It was a non-confirmed confirmation confirmation,” Myers insisted. The first “Austin Powers” movie, fashioned after James Bond’s womanizing modus operandi, premiered in 1997 with Myers deftly playing two main roles — lead character Powers and his nemesis, Dr. Evil — alongside co-stars Elizabeth Hurley, Robert Wagner, Seth Green, Michael York and Mindy Sterling.
Hurley’s role as Austin’s romantic pursuit was replaced by yet another bombshell, Heather Graham, for the 1999 sequel “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.” The third film, dubbed “Austin Powers in Goldmember,” marked the theatrical debut of Beyoncé in 2002.The possibility of a fourth “Austin Powers” has lingered practically since the third installment left theaters. In fact, it would appear that Myers has hardly sat through an interview in which questions about it didn’t come up.
Stephen Colbert is back.
One of Mike Myers’ most famous characters was influenced by his mom.
Selome Hailu “The Pentaverate,” Netflix’s limited series starring Mike Myers as eight different characters in a story about five “nice” guys who run the entire world, didn’t make a dent in the streamer’s newly released Top 10 rankings. It’s a significant flop for Myers, who was a box office darling in the ‘90s and early 2000s for his starring in projects including the “Shrek,” “Austin Powers” and “Wayne’s World” films. But as Variety’s review noted, Myer’s heyday is behind him, and “The Pentaverate” points to “a feature, not a bug” in Netflix’s content strategy of “writ[ing] giant checks to anyone who might bring in more viewers.”The May 2-8 viewing window marked the first full week of availability for Season 4 of “Ozark,” which remained in the No.
Fans are losing it over the return of Shrek.
Hollywood Reporter. The “Silver Linings Playbook” director, 63, noted how several of Myers’ movies have splurged out memorable music, including Madonna’s “Beautiful Stranger.”The chat then shifted to Beyoncé, who made her film debut as Foxxy Cleopatra in the Jay Roach flick. The Canadian-born funnyman stated that everyone on set “fell in love with her.” Myers also joked that costar Michael Caine had trouble pronouncing the Grammy winner’s name and left off the “é.”“Nobody wanted to correct him,” Myers said, adding that he also introduced the “Dreamgirls” star to Led Zeppelin.“’I don’t know this Led Zeppelin,’” Myers remembered Beyoncé saying at the time. However, just a few days later during shooting “Austin Powers in Goldmember,” Myers found her jamming out to the band on her headphones.
Mike Myers has something to share for his movie fans. Durign a recent interview on SiriusXM radio, Myers teased fans on a potential fourth movie of the "Austin Powers" series being in the works. "I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or nonexistence of such a project, should it exist or not exist," Myers said on "The Jess Cagle Podcast w/ Julia Cunningham." Mike Myers has left the door open to the possibility of a fourth movie in the "Austin Powers" franchise. (Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic) The comedian added he "would love" to work on a follow-up to "Austin Powers in Goldmember," which was released in 2002.

Sirius XM‘s Jess Cagle (per EW).“I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project, should it exist or not exist,” Myers said.Co-host Julia Cunningham then probed Myers for an answer, saying: “It feels like ‘yes,’ I’m sorry. It feels like you want to say yes.”“It feels like a confirmation that it’s gonna be announced,” Cagle added, to which Myers said it was “a non-confirmed confirmation confirmation.”Take a look at the full interview below: Myers first played Austin Powers in 1997’s Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery, followed by The Spy Who Shagged Me in 1999 and Austin Powers in Goldmember in 2002.All films in the series were produced and written by Myers, who also plays Dr.
Caroline Framke Chief TV CriticWatching “The Pentaverate” with the purpose of reviewing it gave me enormous sympathy for Wile E. Coyote trying to trap the Roadrunner while knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it would end in him getting flattened.
