Grimes and Elon Musk tweak baby's name to comply with Californian law

Grimes and her billionaire lover Elon Musk have altered the name of their newborn son in order to comply with Californian law. Their child, who arrived earlier this month, was initially called X Æ A-12 (pronounced ‘Ex Ash A Twelve’), but the law in his birth state does not allow numbers to be used in official names.

A mere three weeks after announcing the name that broke the internet (the internet has sustained some grievous wounds in 2020), Grimes revealed she and Elon Musk had changed their newborn baby's name, in accordance with California birth certificate rules which prohibit the inclusion of numbers.

It seems like just yesterday we were live-tweeting the reveal of Baby X Æ A-12’s name. But now that the dust has settled on that truly wild saga (more on its “legality” and meaning later), we can finally enjoy Elon Musk and Grimes’ baby photos of their first child together. Strange name aside, this baby is just as cute as any other.
