Ava DuVernay is set to direct a documentary about the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, according to multiple outlets. The feature-length film is headed to Netflix after the streaming platform reportedly beat out Apple TV and Amazon in a bidding war for the rights to the film.
Late Monday, news started to circulate that a documentary about the late and great Nipsey Hussle would be coming to Netflix, under the direction of Ava DuVernay. Nipsey Hussle’s team released a statement shortly after to announce that they are currently in negotiations, but a deal has not been finalized.
