With the sixth and final season of period gangster epic Peaky Blinders currently enjoying a strong run in the UK, Netflix has set the premiere date for the rest of the world. All six episodes of Season 6 will launch on the streaming service at 12:01AM on June 10 in the U.S. and all markets where Netflix has the show’s rights.

That makes it the biggest launch for the Shelby clan ever, coming in above the Season 5 debut’s 3.7 million overnight average. The BBC has struck a six-year deal for the MasterChef franchise and is moving production from London to Birmingham.

The relocation is part of the BBC’s six-year “Across the U.K.” strategy, which was first announced in March 2021 and committed $978 million to expanding key services outside of London and further afield in the U.K.

Steven Knight is writing and executive producing the series.

Great Expectations has cast its Miss Havisham. Oscar winner Olivia Colman will star as the wealthy, wedding dress-wearing spinster in the FX and BBC limited series adaptation of the Charles Dickens’ novel, which comes from Steven Knight.

The date was made official this morning in Birmingham, home to the fictional Shelby clan, via a 42-foot high mural looming over Digbeth’s Old Crown (see it in full below).
