The Great British Sewing Bee Christmas Specials will be back this year with a new celebrity line-up ready to follow those tricky patterns and transform unwanted materials into something fabulously festive. Judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young will be back to share their expertise and critiques, and potentially dolling out the "chics" if the celebrities are up to scratch. BBC One has yet to confirm when the two part specials will air, but we're expecting the festive editions to follow a similar format to last year's, with one airing around the 22nd December, and the other on 29th December.
Welcome to The Great British Sewing Bee: Celebrity Christmas Special! #SewingBee pic. twitter. com/ca43hZmVrbOne will be a Christmas special, and the other a New Year's Eve extravaganza.
Last year, the celebrities in the Christmas special had to follow a pattern for a Christmas jumper, transform a charity shop bundle into fancy dress outfits, and create made-to-measure dresses from Christmas past. The New Years's line-up were given a pattern for a festive waistcoat, had to revamp old clothes into children's party dresses, and create food themed fancy dress costumes. Claire's ice cream sundae costume was a creation of dreams.
More of that below. Meanwhile, this year's Sewing Bee saw Annie being crowned champion in the final after fending off tough competition from Debra, Man Yee and Brogan. Here's everything we know about the Sewing Bee Christmas Specials 202w below.
. . Like last year, we expect this year's festive specials to be split into two; one around Christmas day celebrating all things festive, and one around New Year's Eve featuring an extravagant party theme.
These rather familiar-looking elves have been busy. . .
