Grandson's sweet gesture to help family business goes 'viral' on social media

He’s only six-years-old but Hugo Bowden has already become a star on social media, after sharing a video of his family’s restaurant.
The Mexican in Fallowfield opened last August Bank Holiday and is run by Hugo’s grandad John Yates. Whilst it garnered rave reviews online, the family have been working non-stop to make it a success and get customers through the doors.
After his grandad ended up in hospital earlier this year, leaving his mum and dad to do most of the day-to-day running, Hugo decided to pitch in, creating a video for social media giving customers a tour of the restaurant and calling on them to help the business a ‘success’.

His mum Alice shared the video on the restaurant’s Instagram channels as well as local Facebook pages, and also explained why the last six months have been so difficult for the new business. In the post she explains how the business has faced a few challenges along the way.
In her post shared to Facebook and linking to Hugo’s video, Alice wrote: “I’m Alice the daughter of the owner of The Mexican Fallowfield. I need your help!
“My dad made the error of buying a restaurant after Covid with his life savings. We’ve worked really hard to make this work and get the restaurant where it is.
“It took us over a year and we’ve built the whole place by hand. It really is a labour of love. We all work there every night whilst holding down full time day jobs and a six year old is chucked into the mix.
“But we really need your support. My dad should be retiring and shouldn’t be working 80 hour weeks. It’s taken its toll doing so for 8 months. It made him so ill he ended up in hospital with
