A "gorgeous" two-year-old boy was left to die of starvation next to his dead dad, according to reports. It's understood Bronson Battersby was tragically found curled up dead next to his dad Kenneth.
His devastated family have reportedly said the pair were found two weeks after they were last seen. As reported by the Sun, dad Kenneth was said to have died on Boxing Day of a heart attack.
It was said he suffered from a pre-existing heart condition. Following the heart attack little Bronson - who was under children’s services care at the time - was left with no food or water or help. However, the outlet reported that social workers got no answer when they visited the property on January 2 and again two days later.
It was also said that the family’s pet dog, Skylar, survived at the home in Skegness, Lincolnshire.
As reported by the Mirror, Lincolnshire County Council said that the social worker made an unannounced visit to the property on January 4 and when there was again no response she contacted police again. They reportedly made the grim discovery inside once the keys to the property were acquired from the landlord.
