Gogglebox star Ellie Warner has announced the exciting news that she and her partner Nat Eddleston are set to become parents next year - just months after he was left fighting for his life in hospital.
The star, who appears on the popular Channel 4 show with her sister Izzie, revealed the news on tonight's episode as she waved the picture of an ultrasound as the pair sat on the sofa.
Showing Izzi the scan picture, Ellie laughed: "I went for a scan on Saturday, it looks like a jellied alien!"
She then added: "When I showed mum the picture she said 'Oh can I take a picture' and you didn't even look at it for two minutes!" and her sister replied: "I did! I told you where the things were, I'll stare at it a bit longer just to make you happy."
Ellie and Nat have had a rather tough year, after the plumber was left fighting for his life about being knocked down by a car on a night out in March.
Nat suffered a broken neck and collapsed lungs after the vehicle struck him as he left his local pub after night out with Ellie and friends.
Ellie reportedly refused to leave her partner's bedside the whole time he remained in intensive care.
However, two months later, Nat seemed to be recovering well as he was spotted up on his feet but wearing a head brace.
Ellie took time off the show while Nat battled for his life in hospital and she dedicated her birthday this year to a charity that specialises in treating patients with brain injuries.
She wrote online: "For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Headway - the brain injury association.
"I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me."
Ellie finally made her return to screens two months

Another one bites the dust. Janelle Brown reveals where she and Kody Brown stand as a couple in the upcoming Sister Wives: One-on-One special.
On and off screen, Danielle Deadwyler implores us to not “look away”. Her eyes convey a quality that filmmaker Chinonye Chukwu recognized when she cast the Atlanta native to portray Mamie Till-Mobley, mother of 14-year-old Emmett Louis Till, who was abducted, then lynched by white supremacists in Mississippi on August 28, 1955. When her son’s tortured, misshaped body was shipped home to Chicago, Till-Mobley insisted on an open casket to ensure mourners witnessed first-hand the life-ending cruelty her sweet boy had suffered. “We can’t look away either,” Deadwyler says. “We have to look.”
