Music lovers have defended Glastonbury Festival after organisers confirmed ticket prices for next year's event.
Taking place between Wednesday June 26 and Sunday June 30 at Somerset's Worthy Farm, weekend tickets go on sale on Thursday November 2 and Sunday November 5. Full weekend tickets with coach travel options go on sale at 6pm on the Thursday, while general admission tickets are available from 9am on the Sunday.
On Friday (September 29), organisers confirmed that full weekend tickets, valid for all five days of the festival, will cost £355 per person, plus a £5 booking fee. A deposit of £75 - plus coach fare if applicable - will be payable when purchasing the tickets.

Prices for weekend tickets have increased by £20 since they last went on sale, costing £335 plus fees for 2023's festival. This appears to have been partly reflected in the deposit, which was £50 last year and has now increased by £25 to £75 for 2024.
Some festival fans have been divided by the increase, with some claiming the prices are 'steep'. However, others have defended the iconic music festival, saying it is 'worth every penny.'
Responding to Glastonbury's announcement on Twitter, @MoleyHoleyMain said: "I think last year's Glastonbury may have to be my first and last... This is too much for me even though I'd love to go back" as @Queen__Smith commented: "Prices are getting very steep..."
@UmBongo_69 said: "Standard tickets were only £225 a few years ago, now £355". Weekend tickets last cost £225 back in 2014 - almost a decade ago.
Many weren't phased by the cost of a weekend ticket, with some hailing it 'worth every penny'. @lilirishtravels
