A missing schoolboy has sparked a huge police investigation in Renfrewshire.

Police cars were peppered by glass bottles as carnage erupted in a Greater Manchester town centre over the weekend.
Officers were called out to Golborne, in Wigan borough, to clear groups of youths causing anti-social behaviour on both Friday and Saturday evenings (February 11 and 12).
Greater Manchester Police says glass bottles had been launched at buses and into the middle of the road at Heath Street and Peter Kane Square by the youths, including some who were drunk.

After officers descended on the area, some of the youngsters began throwing bottles at police cars, GMP says.
Four youths were taken home by police after the mayhem erupted.
A spokesperson for GMP Leigh, Atherton and Hindley wrote on Facebook: "Officers from the neighbourhood team have attended numerous reports of anti-social behaviour around Peter Kane Square and Heath Street on Friday and Saturday evening.
"This included glass bottles being thrown in the middle of the road, some of the youths were also intoxicated, bottles and rubbish been thrown at buses and general anti-social behaviour.
"Numerous contact cards have been issued and four youths were detained and taken home, whilst trying to disperse the youths officers have been subjected to glass bottles been thrown at vehicles, this is unacceptable behaviour and will not be tolerated.
"A number of the youths were from out of the local area and were being picked up and dropped off in Golborne. Parents, do you know what your children are doing when they are out and about?
"The neighbourhood team are aware of the issues that have been occurring and are continuously working to try and resolve the anti-social
