Girl, 3, fighting for life after falling out of car before being hit by van in Merseyside

A three-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after falling out of a car and being hit by a van on Thursday night (October 19).
Merseyside Police were called out to the Croft Retail Park in Bromborough, Wirral, following reports of a serious crash at around 4.10pm. The ECHO reports the little girl fell from a Nissan Qashqai on Welton Road, near the McDonalds, and was hit by a silver van.
The child was rushed to hospital from the scene after suffering serious injuries. She is currently fighting for her life in a critical condition, but remains stable at this time, police have confirmed.

The driver of the transit van stopped at the scene and is assisting police with the investigation. A 37-year-old woman from Leasowe has been arrested for drug driving and child protection related offences and will be interviewed by officers.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "Officers from Merseyside Police Roads Policing Unit have arrested a 37-year-old woman from Leasowe following a serious road traffic collision in Wirral this afternoon (Thursday, 19 October).
"The incident happened on Welton Road, Bromborough, near to McDonalds at about 4.10pm, when a silver van has collided with a three year old child who had exited from a Nissan Qashqai.
"The child was taken to hospital having sustained serious injuries, and she remains critical but stable. The driver of the transit van stopped at the scene and he is assisting police with the investigation.
