General Hospital wins big at 2022 Daytime Emmys

Variety’s Awards Circuit roundtable team of Michael Schneider, Emily Longeretta, Jazz Tangcay and Clayton Davis gathered a day later to dissect the announcement.

The cast of "General Hospital" attended the funeral of Jack and Kristina Wagner's son Harrison.  Harrison was found dead in a parking lot in early June, Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. He was 27. The cast spoke about the funeral and their ways of supporting Jack and Kristina while they walked the red carpet of the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday.  "I had a similar experience in November with my best friend and the 'GH' cast was amazing," Kelly Monaco, who stars on "General Hospital," said.

Daytime Emmy Awards will be poppin' thanks to Michael Bolton! CBS and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced on Tuesday that the two-time GRAMMY-winning pop singer will perform live at the 49th annual event.According to the network and the Academy, Bolton will sing his new track, «Beautiful World,» and will also perform during the «In Memoriam» segment. The film scored five prizes in total at the festival, including the Golden Palm Tree for best film and the prize for best director(s), which collectively went to filmmakers Ragheed Al Nahdi, Norah Almowald, Ruba Khafagy, Fatma Alhazmi and Noor Alameer.Additionally, “Quareer,” which had premiered last December at Saudi’s Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, also scored awards for best cinematography, best script and best score.
