‘Gen V’ Actor Derek Luh on Sharing Bigender Role With London Thor and Showing Two Sides of Jordan’s Romance With Marie

Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for the Season 1 finale of “Gen V, titled “Guardians of Godolkin,” now streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video. You’ve had a week since the “Gen V” Season 1 finale to theorize about where Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Andre (Chance Perdomo), Jordan (Derek Luh/London Thor) and Emma (Lizze Broadway) are at the end of “The Boys” spinoff’s cliffhanger episode. So, do you have a plausible explanation for the medical facility with no doors that the four supes are stuck in? It’s OK, we don’t either, and just like “Gen V” showrunner Michele Fazekas, star Luh is no help to us by keeping his lips sealed — even though he’s finally allowed to talk about the Amazon series after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended — and refusing to be the spoiler-ific Tom Holland of the Vought Cinematic Universe.

The Newsreader creator teases ‘sex, sequins, and Kylie Minogue’ as series returns

Drugs, politics and Princess Diana drive the headlines in the second season of 80s-set Australian series The Newsreader – but it’s the broadcasters’ private lives that bring the drama. The power struggle continues between News At Six’s Helen Norville and her junior-reporter-turned-boyfriend Dale Jennings. Creator Michael Lucas is an expert at relationship dramas – having also produced the romcom Offspring and comedy-drama Five Bedrooms – so it’s no surprise that Dale (Sam Reid) and Helen (Anna Torv) went from professional to romantic before you could say “And this just in...”! The pair are now established as the golden couple of news, despite Dale’s admission about his sexuality in series one.

Listening to moving music that produces “chills” may reduce pain, study finds

Frontiers in Pain Research, Darius Valevicius – the first author of the research from McGill University in Montreal, Canada – found that while listening to a preferred artist may lead to a reduction of pain equal to painkillers, music that produces “chills” has an even greater impact.“We can approximate that favourite music reduced pain by about one point on a 10-point scale, which is at least as strong as an over-the-counter painkiller like Advil [ibuprofen] under the same conditions. Moving music may have an even stronger effect,” he said (via The Guardian). The study conducted saw 63 healthy participants attend the Roy pain laboratory on the McGill campus, and researchers applied heat akin to a hot cup of coffee to their left arm.
